When plans changed I was thrust into the urgent situation of finding a place that felt like "home" for my mom. Relocating her from WNC, I really wanted some place warm, inviting, and that reminded me of being at home in the mountains. I immediately knew this was the place for her, and when I saw what would be her apartment, I was blown away. When i came in for a tour, Janine and the staff were so genuinely welcoming, and so compassionate about our situation. I am so thankful our original plans changed, because Spring Mill is exactly what we needed. Tucked away in Kimberton, yet easily accessible!!

I took a tour of Spring Mill last week, wow, wow, wow! From the moment I called the community I was treated with such great service and kindness. I ended up speaking to Jeanine who asked me a few questions then offered that I come in and take a personal tour of the building. I was greeted by a lovely young lady at the front desk then out came Jeanine. We sat together, laughed together and shared many stories. She was so kind and knowledgeable, I really felt at ease with her. They off we went on a tour, the residents were so lovely greeting me along the way. We ran into a lovely women named Gwen who stopped to say hello. I really could see my father living at Spring Mill. He is no longer active at home and he is all alone everyday. I am picking out an apartment next week and I think my father is really excited, I know I am. The next day I got a follow-up call from the director of the building named David. He wanted to see if I had any additional questions. He told me a little about himself and his background. This was the icing on the cake. Spring Mill it is!

My mother has been here approximately 1 1/2 years and she is very happy living here. The staff treat her with love. The staff is always helpful, the food is excellent, and there are plenty of activities to get involved in. She had to have emergency surgery and when she came back they accommodated her needs until she was back to her “normal”. Although they had to be extremely careful during Covid we knew our families were safe.

We toured them all and this was the nicest community.. it may not be brand new but they make up for the lack of gadgets with caring staff and a warm feeling of being part of a family. That's what we were looking for.. not bells and whistles... we wanted a personal touch

Mom lived at Spring Mill for about a year before her passing this week. The level of compassion and care was exceptional. Special thanks to Jolene, Hannah (Mom's Angel), Gwen, Alyssa, Tamyra, Emily, Daisy, Sherry and Sherry. Huge thanks to Andrea, the new Executive Director; and you have only been there a year too! That Mom so wanted to return is telling.

Mom was there for rehab and it was very good. If possible try to arrive on a weekday as there seems to be a bit of confusion with weekend arrivals- the left hand doesn't communicate with the right hand. The PT/OT staff was excellent. But when you are semi-confined to a bed, little things like broken tv's or the wrong meals mean a big deal. The facility is great for the rehab. The nursing assistants were wonderful and caring. They need to work on the details at bit. But, if necessary, I would not hesitate to place Mom there or even use them myself.
